Are You Enough?
Have you ever felt that you… who you are and what you bring to the table every day is enough? Are you now asking, what does enough mean? When we believe that we really are enough, enough to be successful we stop screaming and start listening more. We are kinder and gentler to the people around us and kinder and gentler to ourselves. We are more in balance with what truly is most important and not living the rat race, always working unsustainably hard, constantly telling ourselves that everything will be fine and will slow down when…
Remember when someone told you how great you looked the other day, that you lost some weight and you said, well, I actually still have a long way to go… it’s not enough. Or when the person told you how well you are doing at your job and you said (or thought) well thanks but I really want the division manager’s position and I should have had it a year ago. Or when someone remarks on your son’s progress or achievement in school and you say well yes but we’re still having some problems with math that we can’t seem to solve right now. If this is You then you, and the people around you are never enough! News Flash… You Are Enough. You are always enough right now. So, let’s practice being more empowered and less insecure. The more we practice feeling and BEing enough… enough for our own selves, the less insecure and more secure we become. The more secure we become the more powerful our minds and hearts become.
Stop being so insecure. You can change. You can change how insecure you are feeling about how you look, where you are occupationally or personally as soon as you decide you can and will! When you do, happiness will simply find you.
For another perspective and perhaps some further reinforcement on this subject, I suggest (if you haven’t yet already) watch this TED Talk on the Power of Vulnerability (and learning how to simply be enough…
If you desire to be enough I assure you it will be something you will need to work at and practice. Practice regularly in fact. And, mostly likely, with a mentor or accountability partner. What better way to get started practicing than sign up for Andrew’s Hour Of Power. To see what so many others are saying about it go to the “What They Are Saying” tab above.
